Birch is an endearing "Classic Blenheim" or Red Parti Cavapoo with easy-maintenance wavy curls.  Birch will help to create a sustainable and healthy Cavapoo with sweet attributes of the Cavalier's temperament when paired with our other Cavapoo and Miniature Poodle girls. 

Birch has 1 copy of furnishings which controls the fur on the legs and face, and whether or not a dog will be a smooth coat (no furnishings), semi-fluffy coat like Birch (1 copy), or a super fluffy coat (2 copies).  He also carries 1 copy for curls which controls whether a dog has easy-maintenance loose wavy curls (1 copy) or the tight higher-maintenance Poodle-like curls (2 copies).  And lastly he carries 2 copies for low shedding which is key for producing low to non-shedding coats in his future puppies. All of this means that his biggest attribute will be his ability to produce low to non-shedding coats that will be allergy-friendly for most severities of allergies, all the while keeping a looser curl and thus making the coat much more manageable for pet owners.

We can trace Birch's line back 3+ generation of health screened dogs which gives us confidence in selecting a lower generation Cavapoo to build a brighter and healthier future for the Cavapoo.  We also have Birch's full sister, Willow, from the same parents and health screened line.

Birch came to us as a puppy from a breeder in Southern Ontario.

The heterozygosity test is SO IMORTANT for any Cavalier mix and breeding should only take place when a dog

is at the high end of the typical range for their particular mix to maintain overall diversity and health!

Birch has been tested through Canine Health Check (by Paw Print Genetics) for BOTH the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle Breed Profile (diseases commonly carried by the breeds) and also CLEAR for a total of 282 other testable diseases that are uncommon (but not impossible) for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle, but are commonly found in other breeds.​

AND Birch's has been DNA tested through Wisdom Panel to establish that she has good genetic diversity for the Cavapoo hybrid, as well as, GENETIC HEALTH TESTED through Wisdom Panel for a total of 267 diseases and traits which covers all bases and uses another testing laboratory to cross-confirm the health and the healthy genes passed down through Birch's parents.
